Bienvenue Québec City, June 9th 2007 The World Championship is now over. The last members of the delegations of Brazil and Finland have just left Québec City two days ago. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to express my most sincere thanks to all delegations who took part in the World Championship and all visitors who contributed in the success of this event including the ones who watched our athletes in action through web cast during the competition or who visited the official websites of the World Championship and the ITF. All along the four days of the championship, there was an incredible atmosphere which we could describe as cheering, lively and certainly contagious. We are very pleased by the excellent coverage and positive comments by the media, the high level of competition and the professionalism of the organization, thanks to the ITF Tournament and Umpire Committee and the Organizing Committee. Congratulations to all the champions and to everyone for their untiring efforts. Thank you to our devoted volunteers for their time and hard work: your contribution has been essential and truly appreciated. With the help of all of you, hosting both Junior and Senior World Championships at the same time resulted into a successful experience and I dare to say “Mission accomplished” ! The ITF-Alcan World Championship Québec 2007 is definitely a World Championship worth remembering. Therefore, as it is always nice to have souvenirs of the most memorable events, you will find the extensive photo gallery of our professional photographers from which you can buy exclusive best quality photos. Also, don’t forget about the upcoming official DVD which will soon be available for sale. Meanwhile, you can watch the DVD preview in the Videos section.
